West Penn Township will replace a police vehicle that was involved in a recent crash.
Township supervisors on Monday morning unanimously agreed to purchase a truck for the police department in the amount of $62,324.
Board Chairman Tony Prudenti said there was a crash involving one of the police vehicles and it needs to be replaced.
Supervisor Glenn Hummel said that the township just bought several vehicles in the past few years.
Afterward, the board adopted a resolution to spend some money out of the operating account for the truck.
The board said it would pay for the truck as follows: $23,190 out of its operating reserve; $17,000 out of its budget; $13,000 insurance; and $9,133 from capital reserve.
