It’s the classic example of how someone’s trash is another’s treasurer.

The Northampton Assembly of God Church building, near Cherryville, now bears a 37-foot high steeple that had been installed there recently by volunteers and members of the Sheet and Metal Workers Union, the structure having been replaced at the Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown.

Pastor Daniel Lundmark of the Allen Township church and about 100 parishioners looked on under a blessed, sunny sky as a crane lifted the refurbished steeple to its new location. The pastor claimed the steeple only hours before it was scheduled to be scrapped at the Allentown church’s reconstruction project.
