Kevin Dellicker, a 2022 Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania’s 7th congressional district, said he was among a group notified by the Air Force Personnel Center that their confidential military records were released to an unauthorized person in response to falsified records requests.
According to Dellicker, the requester was employed by an opposition research firm tied to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He targeted several GOP congressional candidates using similar methods, including two current members of Congress: Rep. Don Bacon, Nebraska, and Rep. Zach Nunn, Iowa.
“I trust that federal law enforcement authorities will investigate and prosecute this brazen attack on military information systems,” said Dellicker. “I hope they follow the money trail to see who paid this sleazy firm for its illegal activities.”
Dellicker said he wasn’t pleased that the Air Force failed to follow its own “proper administrative procedures” to protect his confidential information. “They need to tighten this up so it doesn’t happen to other airmen.”
Dellicker lost in the primary to Lisa Scheller.
