John P. Lavelle Jr., a former Carbon County resident, has been selected a shareholder of Hangley Aronchick Segal & Pudlin, a Philadelphia law firm where he is associated.

A graduate of Marian Catholic High School, he earned his undergraduate degree in 1985 from Princeton University and his law degree in 1985 from the Harvard Law School.

He is the son of Carbon County Court President Judge John P. Lavelle and Attorney Marianne S. Lavelle.
