Kidder Township’s board of supervisors accepted 54 tax claim properties returning to the tax rolls at their regular meeting on Jan. 24. Most were in the Holiday Pocono or Golden Oaks developments.

Township solicitor Robert Yurchak reported that the ordinance violator for the Laurel Lane property is slated to appear before District Judge Joseph Homanko on Feb. 10.

Supervisors approved a fireworks permit for Big Boulder Ski Area, approved placing ads seeking a new engineering firm, and to seek tree trimmers for work along the township roads.

Electronic recycling dates were set for April 22 and Oct. 7. Rules and fees will be publicized.

Lake Harmony Fire Company chief Ralph Lennon reported bringing “a truck load of toys” and nearly $600 in cash for the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia just before Christmas. He also thanked Vail Resorts for their donation from proceeds of the ski lift chair sale of $23,618. (Vail also made a donation in the same amount to the Lake Harmony Rescue Squad.)

Bills of $134,942 were approved for payment.

Supervisors will next meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the municipal building in Lake Harmony.
