Free tax help available for Carbon Co. seniors
AARP TaxAide volunteers are ready to help with your 2022 income tax returns.
Certified AARP TaxAide volunteers are available to provide free tax form assistance to middle and low income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older.
AARP Tax-Aide Program for Tax Year 2022 will have no COVID-19 restrictions.
To receive help filing your 2022 federal, state and local tax returns, taxpayers must bring copies of their 2021 tax returns and backup papers, plus all income forms and any deduction information pertaining to 2022.
Taxpayers must also bring photo ID and social security cards for everyone including dependents.
All sites offer E-filing. For faster refunds, helpers encourage you to bring your bank check to ensure you have the correct account numbers. If you owe money, you can select the date you want it debited from your account.
For people in the Palmerton area, the site in Gilbert is the closest. The church is behind the Turkey Hill gas station on the left side of Route 209, just east of Kresgeville.
