In other Carbon Career & Technical Institute business from the Jan. 19 Joint Operating Committee meeting, the committee approved:
• A Fall Festival/Vendor Fair event to be held at CCTI on Sept. 30. Profits will supplement Career and Technical Student Organizations and club events/activities and charitable donations.
• A Valentine Themed Winter Semi-Formal Dance for CCTI students and their guests in the school Feb. 2 and will be free to current CCTI students with a $5 charge for approved out of school guests (20 years old and under).
• 14 CCTI marketing students will attend the DECA State Competition on Feb. 22 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.
• Two CCTI welding technology students will attend the Lehigh Valley AWS Student Welding Competition on March 10 at Northampton Community College, Bethlehem. T
• 19 CCTI Health Medical students will attend the HOSA State Conference (competition). from March 29-31 at the Valley Forge Convention Center, King of Prussia.
• Harold Resh, Auto Service Technology instructor; Stephen Nesler, Auto Collision Repair instructor; John Rogers, Auto Service Technology instructional aide; and Kevin Wagner, Auto Collision Repair instructional aide, will chaperon approximately 30 Auto Service Technology and Auto Collision Repair students on a field trip to the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Flea Market, Corral & Auction at the Carlisle Fairgrounds, Carlisle, April 21.
• The committee approved the CCTI Comprehensive Plan 2023-2026. The plan was posted to the CCTI website at CarbonCTI.org.
