Chestnuthill Township will hold the line on taxes for 2023.
The budget includes 2.66 mills for the Chestnuthill municipal/road and budget, 0.07 mills for the infrastructure dedicated fund and 0.24 mills for the West End Fire Company.
For every $100,000 of real estate tax assessment, the 2.66 mills will generate $266 in real estate taxes for the fiscal year 2023.
The budget also includes construction of a new Shared Emergency Service Facility, as well as funding to maintain and to improve roads, parks, and the community structure, as well as recycling and composting.
The supervisors purchased winter equipment, authorizing the purchase of a 2022 F-250 4x4 plow truck for $55,335.00. The truck is being purchased from Fred Bean Ford. The supervisors are also buying a western plow from West End Equipment with the equipment not to exceed $7,600.00
Mike Manfre Jr. accepted the offer to take the job of assistant road master.
A motion to advertise for a road crew road worker was made and approved.
The conditional use hearing requested by the solar farm on Silver Valley Road is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17,.
