Beverly Butrie and Susan Rhoads, both of Lehighton, were presented God, Home and Country awards during a service today in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton.

Both girls are 16 years of age and are members of Girl Scout Troop 583. Beverly is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Butrie and Susan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Rhoads.

The God, Home and Country program is concerned with the growth of the individual as a Christian and as a citizen in the community. It is designed to further the spiritual development of young people enrolled in the program.

The Rev. Paul Spohn, pastor, and Mrs. Robert Haas, scout leader, presided at the ceremony.
