St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill, is a regular sponsor of bloodmobiles for Miller-Keystone Blood Center, Bethlehem, the only blood supplier to 33 hospitals in the region.

The parish will sponsor another blood drive from 1-7 p.m. on Dec. 13, in the Rev. James J. Burdess Social Hall, 462 West Ludlow St., Summit Hill.

Center officials report a severe lack of blood donors because of seasonal illnesses and holiday related activities and that blood donations have decreased despite steady hospital needs. They report inventory for all blood types is “dangerously low.”
