Frackville - crashes

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways:

A hit-and-run crash was reported on Nov. 21 at 5:22 p.m. along Pine Street in Kline Township. Troopers said a vehicle was driven southbound when it left the road and struck a utility pole while the driver was negotiating a right hand turn. Wires and the pole were damaged.

The driver fled the scene. Reports indicate the hit-and-run vehicle is a white truck tractor hauling a full semi-trailer. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. along Route 54 in West Mahanoy Township. Troopers said Rayaire M. Miller, 44, of Lost Creek, was driving a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta eastbound when a deer entered the road in front of her. She swerved her vehicle to avoid the animal and subsequently struck guide rail along the berm with her vehicle. After impact with the guide rail the vehicle’s air bags were deployed.

Miller was not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.
