State police at Bethlehem are investigating two bomb threats made to the Lehigh County Technical Institute in North Whitehall Township, Lehigh County.
Troopers said the threats were made over this past several days. The first was on Friday at 7:45 a.m. via Safe2Say reporting system. The second was on Monday at 9:33 a.m. through the same system.
In both cases the students were evacuated and classes canceled for the remainder of the day.
A state police K-9 was brought to the school and found no evidence of explosive devices. Classes were scheduled to resume today.
Troopers said they will be increasing their presence at the school.
Assisting troopers were the Explosive Detection Canine Teams from Lehigh-Northampton Airport Police Department, and police agencies from Lehigh University, Palmer Township, Lehigh County sheriffs office, Allentown, South Whitehall Township and Whitehall Township.
