A Monroe County driver fled a two-vehicle crash scene but was later cited, as was the other driver involved.

State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred at 10:05 p.m. Nov. 7 along Glenwood Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Thomas D. Green, 52, of Effort, was stopped in a 2018 Nissan Rogue on Glenwood Road eastbound. Douglas H. Footit, 19, of Saylorsburg, driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, could not stop and sideswiped the Rogue with his vehicle.

After impact Green fled the scene but was later contacted at his home. Green was cited for duty to give information and render aid while Footit was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
