Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 South 3rd St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m. Musical selections by the Trinity Praise Band before their retirement will be featured during this time. Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth for your own protection and safety. In addition, wear a mask if you feel uneasy about being in a group setting.
The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. An RSVP luncheon in honor of the Praise Band’s 19-year ministry will follow the worship time in Luther Hall.

Sunday Church School for students ages 3 though grade 6 begins at 10:45 a.m. Confirmation class for 7th and 8th grade students is at the same time. Classes will not meet Nov. 20 due to the annual congregational meeting.
The Trinity Thrift Store is open without reservations. Shopping and drop-off hours are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours, limited to five bags or boxes. The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
For those desiring to schedule a baptism or seek membership at Trinity, contact the church office to register in advance for the November instruction sessions. Baptismal class will be held on the third Sunday at 1 p.m. Overview for prospective new members is held on the fourth Sunday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Moore.
The annual congregational meeting is Nov. 20 immediately following the worship time. This is a time to approve the church budget and discuss overall church business.
Events are scheduled to celebrate Trinity’s 150th anniversary. A joyous worship service to mark the 150th anniversary is Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. NEPA Bishop Christopher deForest will be the preacher. A light supper will follow.
Additional plans include commemorative T-shirts, family style covered dish dinner with games Feb. 4, youth-featured worship in March, Cantata in April, anniversary festival worship June 4. You are invited to contribute ideas at the planning meeting Nov. 20 immediately following the annual congregational meeting.
First Sunday in Advent Christmas concert & organ recital by Minister of Music Alex Haggerty begins at 11:15 a.m. Nov. 27. All are welcome.
Trinity Thrift Store Christmas Sale takes place Nov. 25-26, and Nov. 28-29 in Luther Hall 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
