Franklin Township supervisors took the following action last Tuesday:

• Accepted the resignations of garbage/road crew employees Shawn Yeakel and Alex Hawk, effective Oct. 28, with a follow-up of their resignation and a questionnaire/exit interview.

• Hired Roger Strohl as a full-time road crew employee at the rate of $17 an hour.

• Accepted the resignation letter from Michael Quinn from the township’s planning commission.

• Approved bids placed on Municibid as follows: 2004 Crown Victoria, $360; 1968 Single Axle Dump truck - Diamond REO, $925; 1968 Case Loader W-7, $1,500; Pull Behind Flail Mower, $360; and Pull Behind 4-foot Flail Mower, $235.

• Agreed to have the Medical Loss Rebate be applied toward the 2022 Highmark Premiums.

• Adopted a resolution to implement Act 57 of 2022 Property Tax Penalty Waiver Provisions.

• Announced that trick or treat night is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.

• Announced there will be a change in garbage collection for the Veterans Day holiday on Friday, Nov. 11. Pickup is changed to Thursday, Nov. 10.
