Parryville Borough Council took the following action last week:
• Agreed to purchase warning lights for the borough’s replacement pickup, a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500, at an amount not to exceed $1,000. The pickup has been delivered. It was noted that the plow has been ordered, and the borough is awaiting delivery as council vice president Dustin Wentz is working to secure quotes from various vendors.
• Announced that council will hold a special meeting to begin the finalization of next year’s budget, date and time to be advertised.
• Appointed Gayle Ross and Aprille Roder to the borough’s zoning hearing board.
• Announced that the South Fireline Road project has been completed, and thanked the Public Works department for its time invested into the project, and for keeping the time line of the project intact as many delays due to supply chain were encountered.
• Council president Jason Smith provided an update with regards to code enforcement walk around and he thanked those residents, who received violation warning, for working to correct their infractions.
• Announced that adult bingo will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Company.
• Mayor Tom Kobal reminded that trick or treat will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31.
• Announced that a breakfast will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at the fire company.
• Announced that a paint ’n sip at Love4art will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 17.
• Announced that the Christmas tree Lighting will be held on Dec. 3.
