Parryville to conduct income survey

Parryville plans to conduct an income survey for its Act 537 sewage plan.

Council President Jason Smith said at Monday’s borough council meeting that he’s working with the borough’s Sewage Enforcement Officer, Barry Isett & Associates, to conduct the survey of the residents.

In order to begin the project, he said an income survey would need to be conducted to allow for the borough to apply for low interest loans along with opening the door for any type of grants.

Before funding sources can be established, Smith said the first step is to gather the income information, which must be conducted by a third-party vendor.

He said information specific to incomes is not shared with the borough; but rather the information is used to garner finances that would be dedicated to the project.

Smith encouraged all residents to provide accurate information relative to their income when that time comes.
