Schuylkill County’s Mental Health, Developmental, And Early Intervention services are now in place for the fiscal year.
Commissioners, at the request of MH/D/EI Director Lisa Fishburne on Wednesday approved a $6,763,390 purchase of service agreement between the county and Service Access and Management Inc.
The contract is from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023.
In other matters, commissioners, with Commissioner George F, Halcovage Jr. absent, at the request of Director Elaine Gilbert, approved refunds for the county Drug and Alcohol agency.
The refunds, to the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs for the following allocated unspent funds. The funds are only to be used for intervention/treatment services for drugs and or alcohol for people who are underinsured or uninsured.
They are: A substance-abuse prevention and treatment Block Grant for drug intervention treatment, $57,932.09; substance-abuse prevention and treatment block grants for alcohol intervention/treatment, $53,056.78; Act 2010–01, $29,454 only to be used for assessments and treatment for non-hospital inpatient services for clients who are uninsured or underinsured, and who have identified with gambling concerns and addictions with drugs and or alcohol.
