Carbon Co. planners review several projects
The Carbon County Planning Commission reviewed several proposed construction projects throughout the county on Tuesday.
Plans included a Penn Forest Township restaurant expanding its outdoor eating space.
Michele and Guiseppe Buzzetta, owners of Dom N Ali, is proposing a new 1,046.88-square-foot kitchen; as well as a 1,654-square-foot deck addition to their business at 15535 State Route 903.
Ivan O. Meixell Jr., county planner, said he found minor areas of non-compliance with land development ordinances.
The planning commission then recommended conditional plan approval for the project.
Other plans
The planning commission also made recommendations on the following proposed subdivisions.
• Jessica E. and Steven Calcano received conditional plan approval for a proposed lot line revision at 5 Chief Road and 147 Tapuco Drive, Mt. Pocahontas, section 4, Penn Forest Township. The plans call for combining two lots into one.
• David J. Rodrigues and Christine L. Vladislav and Jill Los received conditional plan approval for a proposed subdivision/lot consolidation at 1200 Circle Drive and 333 Harvard Ave., Palmerton. The plans call for subdividing one .6076-acre lot into two lots and combining one of those lots with another lot.
• Michael A. Leggett received plan approval for a land development at 255 Wagner St., Franklin Township. Plans call for constructing a 2,400-square-foot storage building at the existing Majestic Fire Apparel Inc. manufacturing complex.
• Kelly Ann Follweiler received conditional plan approval for a proposed subdivision at 211 Semmels Hill Road, Mahoning Township. The plans call for subdividing 15.048 acres into two lots.
• David and Mary Figura received plan approval for a proposed lot line revision at the intersection of South Lake Drive and Alder Lane, Kidder Township. The plans call for combining two lots into a new lot.
• Lawrence J. and Lucille D. Suravicz received conditional plan approval for a proposed subdivision at 1877 Quakake Road, Packer Township. The plans call for subdividing 53.693 acres into two lots.
• The planning commission made no recommendation on a minor subdivision at Mountain Laurel Resort and Spa in Kidder Township. The plans called for subdividing 136.18 acres into two lots. The commission said that it will provide its comments to Kidder Township for inclusion in the township review.
