State police reports

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident in which a window on a home in Polk Township was damaged.

Police say a Kunkletown woman reported July 29 that someone damaged the window at her residence along Beltzville Drive. The damages are estimated at $100-150, police said.

• Tania M. Kuhenbeaker, 58, of Kunkletown, sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Sept. 6 on Route 115 in Ross Township, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said she was driving a Ford F-150 north when it was struck by an unknown object on its windshield and right side mirror. Kuhenbeaker was taken to a St. Luke’s Hospital by the Wind Gap ambulance corps.

• Tonia A. Smale, 45, of Palmerton, was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks for “driving on roadways laned for traffic” after a crash on Sept. 7 on Route 248 in Bowmanstown.

Police said she was driving a Toyota 4-Runner northbound when it struck a Pontiac Grand Am that was legally parked on the shoulder of the road. Smale was uninjured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

• A 56-year-old man from Palm Bay, Florida, is facing drug possessi9on charges after a traffic stop by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said they stopped a Dodge Ram 1500 along Lehigh Drive in Palmerton Borough and found the driver to be in possession of a controlled substance.
