Judge Albert H. Heimbach has handed down an order in Carbon County Court appointing Stephen Kanuch, 209-211 W. Ridge St., Lansford, to serve unexpired term of the late Robert Hollar, Summit Hill, as a jury commissioner in the county.

Kanuch’s name will also be placed on the general election ballot as the substituted nominee for that office, replacing Mr. Hollar who won the nomination in the primary election but whose death occurred recently.

Both Kanuch and Democrat Stephen Student of Lansford are assured of election in November as two jury commissioners are to be elected.
