Marian High School received more than $1,000,000 donations by the close of the fiscal year on June 30, school officials said recently.
“With so many individuals and institutions stepping up their giving in the previous 2020-21 fiscal year to help Marian securely face the challenges of COVID-19, we were unsure whether this year would see the same level of investment in the school and our students,” said Michael Brennan, head of he school. “Our parents, alumni and friends have proved that the generosity of our community is truly sustainable and strong.”
The school said donations included $617,103 to the “Marian Fund;” $345,199 toward the school’s Pennsylvania State Tax Credit Program and $109,493 in special gifts, including $60,000 from an anonymous donor to fund a new guidance program. More than 1,300 donations were made.
