Schuylkill County
State police at Frackville reported the following arrests in Schuylkill County.
• On Aug. 23, troopers responded to the area of Lotus Alley in West Mahanoy Township, for a report of a man and woman attempting to remove a snowblower from a shed. The area was patrolled and a man and woman were observed walking in the area. Both were stopped and questioned. The man, later identified as Felix Romeu, 39, of Frackville, provided false information to his identity and was released. His true identity was revealed and he was later found walking into the rear of a residence along South Spencer Street and was taken into custody on several arrest warrants.
• Troopers said Lori Bright, 47, of Girardville, has been charged with criminal mischief, for an incident at the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville. Troopers said she damaged a restroom door and ceiling tiles on July 26 at 10:30 a.m. Damage estimates were $342.72 for the ceiling tiles, $202.84 for the restroom door and $38 for ceiling tile supports.
• On Aug. 28 at 6:29 a.m. troopers investigated a report of a neighbor dispute in the 900 block of West Coal Street, in Shenandoah. An investigation revealed that Casey Margerum, 32, of Shenandoah, threw a D cell Rayovac battery through the white vinyl fence of a 70-year-old female from Shenandoah, during the course of an argument.
As a result Margerum was charged with criminal mischief. Damages were estimated at $300 to the fence.
• On July 23 at 8:53 p.m. troopers were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash along South 3rd Street, Minersville, with one of the vehicles involved a Minersville borough police cruiser. Upon arrival troopers made contact wit the striking vehicle operator, a 56-year-old male from Pottsville, who troopers declined to identify.
He was found to be impaired and placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
