Carbon County Commissioners
The Carbon County Commissioners acted on or discussed the following items during their weekly meeting last week.
• Authorized the advertisement of an invitation to bid for food services through the Area Agency on Aging.
• Adopted a new policy allowing all nonunion employees, full-time, part-time and seasonal, to be compensated at 1.5 times their regular straight hourly rate for working on a county observed holiday. This mainly affects the parking attendants and staff at Mauch Chunk Lake Park.
• Approved an allocation letter from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services for the 2022-2023 MATP program listing the initial allocation of $617,771.
• Approved a service agreement with LANTA for transportation services under the Medical Assistance Transportation Program through June 30, 2023, at a per trip rate of $86.75.
