A Reading man is jailed under $100,000 straight cash bail after being charged in a drug bust in New Philadelphia that netted 141 grams of methamphetamine.

Miguel Torres, 41, was charged with possession with the intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned by on-call District Judge Edward Tarantelli, Frackville, and jailed in the Schuylkill County Prison.

The bust, on Aug. 23, was the result of a joint investigation of the Pennsylvania State Police and the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force.

The methamphetamine has an estimated street value of approximately $6,500.
