Anniversary: Clemsons celebrate 50th anniversary

Reverend Richard and Sandy Clemson of Tamaqua recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Aug. 19, 1972, by the Rev. Reilly in Primitive Methodist Church, Tamaqua.

Mrs. Clemson is the former Sandy Jones, daughter of the late Daniel and Betty Jones of Tamaqua.

Rev. Clemson is the son of the late Richard and Eva Clemson of Tamaqua. He currently serves as pastor of Primitive Methodist Church.

The couple has two children, Judy, wife of Mark Henry of New Tripoli; and Jenny, wife of Nathaniel Kovalchick of Hometown. They also are the grandparents of six grandchildren, Sarah and Nick Henry, and Nathaniel, Graycee, Nia and Ayden Kovalchick.

A celebration with church family, as well as their children and grandchildren was planned.
