Lehighton Borough Council took the following action:
• Approved a resolution to designate interim borough manager Kim Rubin and council President Grant Hunsicker as officials to execute all documents between the borough and the Commonwealth Financing Authority for the $93,000 grant award.
• Approved the high bid on the sale of the Summit Avenue parcel in the amount of $35,000.
• Approved the Jim Thorpe Borough invoice in the amount of $25,543 for the Blight Remediation Grant project’s additional expenses for the demolition of 209 North First St.
• Approved Keystone Engineers proposal in the amount of $28,000, provided the money is budgeted, to provide specs for the demolition project at 135-139 North First St.
• Approved the lease agreement for the Caboose project pending final changes by borough solicitor Jim Nanovic.
• Appointed Matthew Schnell, esquire, as zoning hearing board solicitor.
• Accepted the high bid of $4,409 for the sale of the 2008 Ford F250 truck.
• Agreed to advertise Lehighton Water Authority in reference to separating shared water lines.
• Advertised for bids on diesel and gasoline contracts.
• Approved a resolution establishing the current base purchased power cost for the PPAC.
• Approved Tyla Block as an additional lifeguard.
