State police at Frackville - thefts

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers at Schuylkill County locations.

• Sometime on June 8, a storage shed on the property of the Hazleton Water Authority, located on High Street, in Mahanoy Township, was vandalized. Taken was a small fire extinguisher. Damages were to a deadbolt lock and a the storage shed door. The incident was not reported until June 13.

• A 38-year-old man from Church Street, Barnesville, Ryan Township, reported the catalytic converter on his 1991 Ford Ranger pickup was stolen while it was parked at his residence. The theft occurred sometime between June 2 and 6.

• On June 27 at 10:36 a.m. troopers investigated a report of catalytic converters stolen from a site off Interstate 81 in Cass Township.

Troopers said vehicles owned by Pennline of Scottdale, Westmoreland County, were parked at the location. The converters were removed from two 2022 Ford F650 Super Crew trucks. Total value of the missing converters was set at $2,600.

• On June 27 at 6:30 p.m. troopers responded to Crest Street in Rush Township, for a report of a burglary.

A further investigation revealed multiple items were taken from the property. The victim is a 44-year-old man from Barnesville. The break-in occurred sometime between June 24 and 27.

• A 61-year-old woman from New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township, reported someone obtained her personal information and opened an account through Bank of America. The incident occurred sometime between May 13 and June 16. The victim did not endure any financial loss.
