Bowmanstown Borough Council took the following action on Tuesday:
• Announced that LSA awarded the borough $52,271 for the purchase of a new generator on behalf of the Water Authority’s application submitted for the chlorine building.
• Adopted a resolution authorizing submittal of the Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant for Lincoln Avenue.
• Announced that the Bowmanstown Authority is willing to reimburse the borough $5,210 for the water lateral on Oak Street.
• Agreed to purchase an ATV “C” Spring Rider at a cost of $1,759 through the use of the $1,600 awarded from the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau Tourism Impact Grant for the Green Street Playground with a balance of $159.
• Agreed to purchase flood insurance for the borough sewer building at a cost of $1,644.
• Announced that the White Street HOP Inlet project has been put on PennBID and has been advertised for bid. Bids for the project are due at council’s Aug. 2 meeting.
• Agreed to participate in the Low-Income Household Water/wastewater Assistance Program as part of an emergency effort, to be funded by the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
• Agreed to lease a water cooler for the borough garage at a cost of up to $50.
