Panther Valley news for June 30, 2022

Golden Agers

The Panther Valley Golden Agers met on June 27 with 15 members present. President Diane Gould opened the meeting with the reading “Let Freedom Ring.”

The group played bingo and refreshments were served. A bus trip to Mount Airy Casino is scheduled for Aug. 2 and must be paid for by July 11. Everyone was wished a Happy Fourth of July.

The group meets the second and fourth Monday at St. Ann Senior Apartments, Lansford, at 1 p.m. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Panther Valley Senior Center

The Panther Valley Senior Center announced the menu for the week of July 4-8.

Monday: Center closed

Tuesday: Vegetable soup, rotini and meatballs, zucchini, fruit salad or beef and cheese sandwich

Wednesday: Cajun turkey, sweet potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower, fruit crisp or antipasto salad

Thursday: BBQ pork riblet, oven fries, coleslaw, cantaloupe or turkey pita

Friday: Chicken fajita with peppers, corn orange or chicken Caesar salad

The senior center also announced the upcoming events in July.

Center closed on July 4, Bingo on July 5 at 10:45 a.m.; Games on July 6 at 10 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on July 7 at 10 a.m.; Trivia on July 8 at 11 a.m.

Po-Keeno on July 11 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on July 12 at 10:45 a.m.; Crafts on July 13 at 10 a.m.; Lancaster Trip on July 14, center will remain open for lunches; Skeeball Tournament on July 15 at 11 a.m.

New members always welcome.
