LEHIGHTON AREA SCHOOL BOARD - FINANCIAL MATTERS
Lehighton Area School District’s board of directors approved the following financial matters Monday night:
• A $500 donation from Jacob’s Weissport Historical Society for the Lehighton Area High School Art Department in recognition of Diane Micheletti, Madison Brown, Kailee Gaumer, Brenna Hunt, Hailey Miller, Brynn Wentz, Isabella Mystkowski, and Ruth Bush.
• The 2022-24 Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s Reducing Underage Drinking and Dangerous Drinking Grant. The grant totals $19,605 with $16,105 allotted for the 2022-23 fiscal year and $3,500 allotted for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
• The all-access membership package option with administrative regulations for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association membership renewal for the 2022-23 school year in the amount of $14,153.17.
• Insurance premiums with CM Regent for the 2022-23 school year effective July 1, 2022.
• The Public Financial Management proposal for bond purchase agreement in conjunction with the refinancing parameters resolution.
• A resolution authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds in the maximum amount of up to $42 million in one or more series for purposes of the refunding of all or a portion of the school district’s outstanding General Obligation Bonds, Series of 2015; the refunding of all or a portion of the school district’s outstanding General Obligation Bonds, Series A of 2015; and paying the costs and expenses related to the issuance of the bonds.
• A contract in connection with the Union Street paving project in Lehighton Borough to Lehigh Asphalt Paving and Construction in the amount of $85,235.
• The proposal from Energy Technologies for a three-year HVAC maintenance contract beginning July 1, at a yearly cost of $83,694.
• Installation of middle and high school electric meters by Automated Logic.
• The 2022-23 letter of agreement between Lehighton area School District and Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol Commission Inc.
