Nesquehoning council is looking for residents who are interested in serving their community.
On Wednesday, council announced that there are several vacancies on various boards, including the water authority, recreation commission, zoning hearing board, planning commission and newly formed blight committee.
Any resident who is interested should drop off or mail a letter of interest to the borough at 114 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning before council’s next meeting on July 27.
The discussion regarding vacancies arose after council accepted the resignation of Gary Porembo from the water authority, effective June 30.
Council thanked Porembo for his service to the borough.
