Marcos Anthony Mesen, 28, of Whitehall, was granted his request to modify his sentencing order to reflect an incarceration period of 72 hours to six months.
The sentence is to be served in the Schuylkill County jail beginning June 17. All other provisions of the May 18 court order remain in place.
Mesen was charged by Coaldale Police Officer Matthew O. Jungbaer with driving under the influence, first offense; driving under the influence of a controlled substance - Schedule 2 or 3, first offense; driving under the influence of a controlled substance - metabolite, first offense; driving under the influence of combination of alcohol/drugs, first offense on April 11, 2021.
Mesen pleaded guilty to the charge of driving under the influence of combination of alcohol/drugs, and Judge Charles M. Miller originally sentenced him to 30 days to six months house arrest; fined him $1,000; pay court costs and fees; have his license suspended for 12 months; perform 10 hours of community service; enroll in and complete substance abuse treatment for one to three months, and continue mental health treatment.
