Bowmanstown plans to check into leasing equipment to seal its streets.

Borough council on Tuesday debated whether to buy a street sealer with American Rescue Plan Act funds.

However, Councilman William Ravert said he believes council should wait until all the projects are done before it takes such action.

Councilman Rob Moyer noted that the money the borough thought it had to buy a street sealer is gone due to the increased costs on the Craig Street paving.

Moyer said council received a price quote of $65,000.

“We do need to seal the streets, and we only have about three months to do it,” Moyer said.

Council asked Bixler to get a price to lease with option to buy.
