Lehighton Borough Council approved the following on Monday:

• Alex Hummel and Jason Pryce as part-time police officers pending pre-employment process.

• Part-time police officer pay scale as follows: $25 an hour for a new certified police officer, $26.70 after 500 hours with the department, and $28.60 after 1,000 hours with the department.

• Readvertise for bids for the Summit Avenue parcel.

• Attorney Robert Frycklund’s resignation from the zoning hearing board.

• Set the fee at $95 an hour for the zoning hearing board solicitor.

• Dylan Moyer as an additional lifeguard for Baer Memorial Pool pending completion of the pre-employment process.

• To put items that are outstanding per former borough Manager Nicole Beckett’s list on next month’s meeting agenda.

• Resolution establishing the current base purchased power cost for the PPAC.

• Ordinance regarding bulk refuse/dumpster permits.

• To close the borough offices Dec. 23 and Dec. 30 for the holidays.
