2022 primary election: Carbon County committee members receive token votes
There were no contested races in either the Democratic or Republican parties for committee positions within the various municipalities of Carbon County.
Every four years, the two parties elect people to represent their parties in the boroughs and townships of Carbon.
The Democratic Party bylaws call for voters in each of those districts to elect one committeeman and one committeewoman in each district, whereas the GOP bylaws are different in that they call for the election of a designated number of committee members by boroughs or townships.
The results of complimentary voting for committee men and women who appeared on their respective ballots on Tuesday were as follows:

Bowmanstown: Ben Price, 48, and Kara Scott, 48.
East Penn Township: Mary Coover, 56, and Albert J. Holzman, 60, both in District 7.
Franklin Township: Dianna E. Ahner, 89, District 13.
Jim Thorpe: Ronald Sheehan, 137, District 18.
Lower Towamensing Township: Nanette E. Smith, 50, District 33.
Mahoning Township: Kerry Palumbo, 69, District 35.
Nesquehoning: Patrick J. Owens, 82, District 42.
Palmerton: Alyson Nicole Krawchuk, 180, District 48, and Deborah Smith, 45, District 49.
