The Carbon County Commissioners acted on the following items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.
• Approved advertising for a public hearing notice regarding modifying Community Development Block Grant funds from business assistance, Public Service Health Care Program and Public Service School Health Education Program to Family Promise Women’s Shelter.
• Approved three agreements with ESCO Inc. of Ephrata for monitoring services for security cameras and panic buttons at district courts in Jim Thorpe, Lansford and Palmerton through May 31, 2023. Service calls will be charged $160 per visit and labor will be $140 per hour in fractional hours. The annual monitoring fee is $208 per site.

• Hire as recommended by department supervisor: Michael P. Gillespie of Kunkletown, seasonal park ranger II, effective May 19.

• Court appointment: Molly E. Sheridan of Summit Hill, domestic relations officer I, effective May 31.
• Clerk of courts resignation: Ying Song of Albrightsville, clerical specialist, effective May 9.
• District attorney change of status: Kara M. Beck of Hellertown, from full-time assistant public defender to full-time assistant district attorney 4, effective June 3.
• Sheriff resignations: Austin J. Signarovitz of Nazareth and Michael J. Stasko Jr. of Lehighton, deputy sheriffs, effective May 22.
