Panther Valley School Board on Thursday hired coaches for the spring and fall sports seasons.

It set salaries for spring coaches, but not for those people coaching fall sports.

It also agreed to hire spring workers at a fee of $25 per event.

In other other sports personnel issue, the board accepted the resignation of Damian Lewis as the junior high boys basketball coach effective immediately.

Spring coaches

Baseball

John Cooper, $3,400; Jimmy Kravelk, $2,250.; Rich Evanko, $1,325; Matt Davis, Phil Shelton Jr., Jeff Szczecina and Kyle Krajnak, all volunteers.

Softball

Jill Zwiesdak, $1,700.; Gerald New, $1,300; James Hull and Jennifer Bensinger, both volunteers.
