A Carbon County man pleaded guilty in county court on Tuesday to bringing illegal drugs to a hospital.
Thomas Lee Walck, 29, of Lansford, pleaded guilty in the drug case to possession of marijuana.He also pleaded to one count of receiving stolen property in another case.Judge Steven R. Serfass accepted the pleas.Walck admitted having a bag of marijuana when he went to the Lehighton hospital on May 8, 2015, to be admitted to the mental health unit. Hospital personnel called borough police who responded and filed the charges.The theft incident occurred on June 19, 2015, in Lansford where Walck admitted having possession of weed controller taken from the property at 236 E. Patterson St.On the receiving count Serfass sentenced Walck to time-served (51 days) to 23 months in prison and on the marijuana count to pay a fine of $300.Walck was ordered to render 100 hours of community service.
