State police at Frackville report on crashes

State police at Frackville reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

• On May 9 at 6:35 a.m. Christopher T. Baddick, 44, of Brockton, was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee northbound on Route 209 in Walker Township, when a deer entered the road in front of him. Baddick attempted to avoid the animal but could not and struck it with the front of his vehicle.

Baddick was not injured but his vehicle had to be towed.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:37 p.m. on May 2 along Route 901, at the intersection with Main Street, in Butler Township. Troopers said Shawn Kane, 48, of Denver, Lancaster County, was driving a 2018 Ford Transit van westbound while Theresa R. Harbist, 73, of Ashland, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze eastbound. Trooper said Harbist entered the intersection with Main Street illegally and a collision occurred.

No one was injured. Both vehicles were towed.

Troopers cited Harbist for stop signs and yield signs.
