Two teenage girls, both age 15, were seriously injured when the all terrain vehicle they were riding crashed into tree in woods outside McAdoo in Kline Township. The crash was reported at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The names of the victims were not made available but are reportedly from Kelayres and McAdoo Heights.

The ATV was heading east when it crashed into a tree. The girls were transported from the crash area by ambulance to a landing zone and then flown to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

A report from the scene indicated that the girls were not wearing helmets.

Township police are investigating.
