State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following incidents in Schuylkill County locations.
• On April 22 at 1:24 p.m. troopers responded to Weis Marketsd in the Pottsville Park Plaza, off Route 61, in Norwegian Township, for a reported theft.
As a result of an investigation it was determined that Dorothy Brenneman, 40, of Port Carbon, failed to scan all merchandise at the self-checkout area. A total of $96.85 worth of merchandise was stolen. Brenneman resisted arrest and was also charged with the count. Because of prior convictions the retail theft charge is rated a felony 3.
• On April 27 at 1:23 p.m. troopers responded to East Main Street in Tremont for a harassment report. It was determined that Gracey Long, 24, of Tremont, shoved a 23-year-old woman during an argument.
Long was issued a citation for harassment - physical contact.
• On March 27 at 12:41 p.m. troopers were dispatched to BG’s Value Market, located in Kings Village, Norwegian Township, for a retail theft report. Troopers said surveillance footage showed Helen Vuksta, 59, of Minersville, swapping price tags on packaged steaks. The amount of the item was $28.80.
• On March 31 at 9:39 p.m. troopers responded to a residence along Tremont Road in Pine Grove Township. Troopers learned that a 57-year-old man opened the door to his home and was “smacked” in the face by Vanessa Schroll, 58, of Pine Grove. She was issued a citation for harassment - physical contact.
