Tamaqua's season pool pass applications available April 1

Thanks to the continuing generosity of the John E. Morgan Foundation, residents of the Tamaqua Area School District will once again have the opportunity to enjoy the H.D. Buehler Memorial Pool at a discount rate. Individual season passes will cost $10 for TASD residents. The cost for a season pass for non-school district residents will be $50 per person.

Applications will be available as of April 1 at Tamaqua Borough Hall, 320 E. Broad St., the Tamaqua Public Library on South Railroad Street, the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce on West Broad Street, Fegley's Mini Mart on Center Street and Our Family Mini Mart, West Broad Street. Anyone who returns their application and fee to Tamaqua Borough Hall before April 30 is guaranteed to have their pass before opening day.Daily passes, for TASD residents, will be $5 Monday through Friday and $6 on Saturday and Sunday for anyone over the age of 6. Daily rates for non-district residents will be $10 Monday through Friday and $12 on Saturday and Sunday. Children under the age of 6, resident and non-resident alike, will be charged $1 per day, weekdays and weekends.The pool will be opened the Memorial Day weekend May 25-27, at 11:30 a.m. The pool will then be closed until opening day, June 1 at 1:30 a.m. No passes will be sold during the holiday weekend or opening day weekend.For further information, stop in at borough hall, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., or call (570) 668-3444 or 668-0300.
