Conservation volunteer and avid birder David Kruel will lead a bird walk on May 1, beginning at 8 a.m. in Locust Lake State Park, in Barnesville, Schuylkill County. The walk will begin in the parking lot.

Kruel will offer helpful information about how to identify the local and migratory songbirds by sight, song, habitat and behavior. The walk is sponsored by the Schuylkill County Conservancy. Those attending are encouraged to bring along binoculars.
