The Palmerton Area Democratic Club will hold a Rally for Tim Seip, Democratic candidate for the 29th District of the Pennsylvania Senate on Tuesday, April 10, 7 p.m. at Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown. The public is welcome to use this opportunity to meet and get to know this candidate, identify legislative concerns you hope he will address if elected and show your support.
"In seeking to oust the current Republican Representative of the 29th District, David Argall, Tim brings 20 years of human service work and social work practice to his quest for greater and more effective public service in the Pennsylvania Senate. A past member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (2007-2010) representing the 125th District covering parts of Berks and Schuylkill Counties, Tim Seip is currently a member of the faculty at Kutztown University's School of Social Work," said Club President, Sarina Berlow."Named State Social Worker of the Year in 2009 by the NASW, Tim's experience in hospital social work, corrections, geriatric social work, community mental health, group home work, blindness and visual services, and children and family services uniquely qualifies him to legislatively address many of the issues that matter to local voters."The Club's May 8th meeting will include an analysis of the Primary Election and a head start on preparing for the fall Presidential Election with our OFA representative. The area covered by the Club includes Palmerton, Bowmanstown, Towamensing Township and Lower Towamensing Township.
