State police at Frackville reported investigating the following incidents:

• A two-vehicle crash at 1:47 p.m. on March 29 at the intersection of Route 61 and East Darkwater Road in New Castle Township.

Troopers said Jonathan S. Stacey, 21, of Drums, Luzerne County, was driving a 2007 Mazda MX 6 eastbound on East Darkwater Road. After stopping for a posted stop sign at the intersection Stacey attempted to go southbound 61 when his vehicle was struck by a 2021 Ford Transit van truck operated by Donald Beckett, 66, of Frackville.

Both drivers refused medical treatment at the scene. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Troopers cited Stacey for a stop sign violation.

• A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred on March 16 at 12:43 p.m. in the area of 319 W. Mahanoy Ave., in Girardville.

Police said Bridget Holshue, 59, of Ashland, was found asleep in the driver’s seat of a 2014 Ford F150 truck at the above location. Troopers said she is suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending.
