Schools invited to Jim Thorpe film festival

This April, Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival is celebrating its fifth anniversary.

The film festival features films from around the globe in a jam-packed four-day event hosted at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in downtown Jim Thorpe.

For four straight days and nights, Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival will present wall-to-wall films of every genre and description, live music, parties and filmmaker meet and greets. Tickets are $10 per screening.

To celebrate JTIFF’s fifth anniversary, the festival’s founders, Todd Morris and Jocelyn O’Neil, are extending an invitation to all county school districts.

Students and teachers alike are welcome to enjoy all films on April 22 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for free with student or faculty ID.

This is an amazing opportunity to engage our area youth in a world-class cultural experience.

The Jim Thorpe Independent Film festival runs April 21-24. For tickets and info, visit jimthorpeindiefilmfest.com.
