– Heather Reifinger tosses a five-hitter as Northern Lehigh kicks off its softball season with a 6-1 non-league triumph over visiting Northampton. Reifinger fans six batters and issues only two free passes in going the distance for her initial victory. Amanda Hoffman collects a pair of singles for the Bulldogs, while Angela Cress doubles and Jacqui Andreas, Mikki Solt and Reifinger add singles. Vanessa Strohl walks three times, once with the bases loaded, and scores a pair of runs for the winners.
