A Monroe County man has been charged with attempted homicide of his brother.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said on March 18 at 4:18 p.m. police were dispatched to the area of Ridgefield Drive and Berwood Drive in Tobyhanna, for a male yelling for someone to call 911.

On scene officers learned that the male was stabbed by his brother, Efrain Massa, 28, inside the residence on Berwood Drive.

Efrain, police said, advanced on Justin with a knife, while making threats to kill him. The victim suffered injuries while fending off Efrain’s attack.

Efrain left the scene prior to the arrival of police in a 2017 Chevrolet SUV with PA registration of LGX-9707.

Efrain has yet to be located. In addition to attempted homicide, he has also been charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

The police report did not indicate if the victim received medical attention.
