The Music in the Park program, sponsored by the Lansford Alive Events Committee, continues this weekend at Kennedy Park in Lansford.

This week's music will be provided by the "Fat Cats" from Pottsville. From 6 to 8 p.m., the duo of Jim Juranis and Bill Lindenmuth will play a selection of classic rock, good time oldies, rhythm and blues and rock-a-billy tunes.The park is next to the Panther Valley Football Stadium in Lansford.Admission is free and refreshments will be available. All proceeds will benefit the revitalization of Kennedy Park.Bring your own lawn chair.Upcoming concerts in the park include: Aug. 28, "the Boys Upstairs"; and Sept. 4, Don and Donna Nye.
